Most people that have known Jin for a long time say he used to be polite,calm and caring. This was mostly due to him growing up in the calming mountains of japan, surrounded by nature and his mother's teachings. This mixture produced a generally kind and easy going young boy. In school Jin had a good social standing and even had close friends like HWOARANG and LING XIAOYU. However when he turned 15 all of this changed. After the loss of his mother Jin became cold and distant, he began dedicating his time solely to vengeance, training and obtaining more power.
Jin isn't quick to trust other people due to the betrayal by his own grandfather, as a result he is bluntly honest and direct about his thoughts. Jin Hardly ever takes the time to sugar coat his words if unnecessary and usually throws around witty insults or uses sarcasm to keep people at a distance. This is a way to ensure that close relationships with people do not disrupt him on his quest for power and vengeance or make him vulnerable to betrayal again. Sadly most view him as rude for his blunt honesty and direct manner of speaking. Jin also seems to have become more rebellious over time and has also become more prone to violence ,but despite all of these changes in his personality he still wouldn't exactly be described as evil like his father. Jin may come off as harsh but none of his actions are out of malice. So even when his actions do appear evil or harsh he has good intentions behind them and usually considers the ones he loves before hand, even though he no longer shows this as much as before. Jin's increasing darkness is also always balanced out by his mother's teachings, thus producing a Ying Yang effect.
An example of this is Jin's violence. Although Jin has grown increasingly violent, his mother's teachings prevent him from crossing the line and becoming a senseless murderer. Although Jin is cold and disinterested his mother's teachings still make sure he cares for close friends and never betrays a friend in need. So although Jin has become quite dark he still has morals which keep him from crossing the line from being a chaotic-good character to an evil one.
Jin also has one personality trait which is common with many Japanese heroes. Once Jin's mind is focused in any particular direction, it is immensely difficult to get him to change his mind or even notice any alternatives. Jin's disinterest in close relations is mostly a result of his family's bloodline curse, Jin thinks that the people he loves will likely suffer if he ever completely succumbs to the Devil Gene like his father.
At a later stage in life Jin uses his new position as the CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu to throw the world into chaos in hopes of finding a cure for his devil gene. Although his intentions are entirely benevolent, since he seeks to use this chaos to awaken and destroy Azazel. Believing that defeating this monster could help get rid of his curse, Jin might have destroyed countless people's property, ruined many lives and won lots of enemies through his actions. This means that Jin is willing to go out of his morals if that is what it takes to save the world. This again shows that no matter how indifferent and arrogant Jin seems to be, he is still a good man.
A P P E A R A N C E
Standing at a height of 5′ 11″ and Weighing 165 lbs Jin's body looks like it was practically made for combat. Not only does he have a perfect height but he is also in peak physical condition for a human his age. His body is layered in lean well shaped muscle as far as the eye can see but he also ensures that he doesn't get too masculine or gain too much bulk since the extra mass would slow him down while fighting and make his fighting style sloppy. He keeps just the right amount of muscle thus maintaining more of an athletic well muscled build rather than a bulky body builder frame.
Jin has dark spiky hair generally styled backwards to keep it out of his way while fighting, but a few strands often wander to the front of his face although they don't obscure his vision or get in his way much so they are tolerated at best. Jin is almost a spitting image of his father from his body build, his hair and even his eyes. However Jin's other facial features are taken from his mother.
When in battle, Jin still wears his signature battle gear which includes a pair of black pants with flames on the left leg, a pair of red gloves/ gauntlets and no top. However when he isn't in an arranged match he can be seen wearing more casual or comfortable clothing.
When Jin enters his devil jin form strange markings appear on his chest and arms, A glowing red circle appears on the middle of his forehead and black markings form something similar to a headband around the red glowing circle. Jin's eyes also begin to glow and he grows a pair of horns. His canine teeth elongate taking on an appearance similar to that of an animal's. Finally Jin's back sprouts a pair of black feathered wings.
H I S T O R Y
Jin Kazama is the son of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Jun's intimate relationship with Kazuya grew and she became pregnant with Jin. Soon after,The devil within Kazuya attempted to enter Jin while he was still in his mother's womb, but Jun managed to fight it off. Afterwards, Jun moved to a remote location in the mountains where she raised Jin peacefully and trained him in the Kazama family's fighting style.
Jun had already sensed an evil force approach her and her son so when Jin was 15 she informed him about his heritage and his remaining family members before the evil arrived. She also told Jin to seek out his grandfather should anything happen to her. Days later Jin and Jun Kazama were attacked by an evil entity known as the Ogre. The creature's attack left Jin unconscious but his mother Jun managed to lead the creature away from her unconscious son. Upon waking up hours later Jin searched for his mother tirelessly but to no avail. Eventually the teen was under the impression that the Ogre had killed his mother and as a result Jin swore to avenge her by killing the Ogre. This is when Jin lost touch with most of his high school friends.
As instructed by his mother, Jin found his grandfather Heihachi and trained under his supervision every day with the intention of gaining enough power to defeat the Ogre, Who supposedly killed his mother.
Four years later, having mastered the Kazama and Mishima Fighting Styles, Jin started following the path of vengeance that would soon lead to the Ogre. Jin took part in the 3rd tournament which forced him to fight a long list of foes including his own grandfather but nothing was able to derail him from his course. Eventually Jin was able fight Ogre and avenge his mother at last, for a moment it seemed as though Jin could finally stop pursuing power or vengeance and reconnect with the loved ones he had left.
Sadly, Mere seconds after his victory, Jin was attacked by his own grandfather Heihachi and his tekken force soldiers. The near death experience forcefully activated Jin's devil gene which caused him to transform into his Devil Jin form and viciously attack Heihachi before flying away.
Jin disappeared for quite some time after the 3rd tournament in order to further advance his training. His thoughts burdened with the desire to destroy the evil Mishima bloodline and cure himself of the devil gene. Despite not having full control of his devil Gene, jin entered the 4th tournament in an attempt to kill Heihachi and his father Kazuya. Sadly this attempt failed and ended in him being overpowered and captured. Once again, his devil Gene allowed him to break free and defeat his father as well as his grandfather. However before Jin could kill his grandfather in his Devil Jin form he saw a hallucination of his mother which caused him to spare the lives of Kazuya and Heihachi.
Later on after the 5th tournament Jin was in his human form when met and battled his great-grandfather, Jinpachi Mishima and in the end defeated him. After the defeat of his great grandfather Jin freed the cursed Jinpachi Mishima and took over the Mishima Zaibatsu. He utilized his elite military unit, the Tekken Force, to carry out covert missions in order to engulf the world in chaos and war. Once he had rendered most countries' military power useless, he took over oil fields, and other energy producing resources. He declared the Mishima Zaibatsu’s independence and waged war against the rest of the world in order to vanquish an even greater evil capable of destroying the world called Azezel. This entity would only be released if enough chaos was brought into the world, Jin was lead to believe that destroying this entity would free him of the Devil gene and his family curse.
The Mishima Zaibatsu swept across the globe, taking over nation after nation. But as the war continued, new opposing forces slowly began to show their presence. Jin learned that Kazuya was controlling the first and most powerful opposition, the G Corporation. When the G Corporation placed a price on Jin's head Jin disappeared once more. This was seen as a good sign as the wars had begun to stop, but former leader Heihachi ruled Mishima Zaibatsu once more. It seemed as though things continued to get but, Now word of Jin's return has spread, Jin still prefers to keep himself hidden at the moment in order to get a grasp of what has become of japan in his absence.
