Lei nodded in understanding. "Let me know what's up." Not too long after Sorin made his remark, Lei shrugged.
"No need to keep it PG. What does that even mean?" He was confused.
Helena sighed as she sat back down. "All I really wanted to do tonight was blow off some steam and have fun..."
Lei took a seat next to her. "You can still do that."
"So, you are going to babysit Micah?"
Lei shook his head. "I mean, you don't need to do that... there's plenty of ways to have fun without having to get a babysitter. Like, maybe go see a movie. Go to a zoo. Go to the park. I understand, it's hard and you need time to yourself, but I think it's best if we let Micah roam around freely. He can't be cooped up in the house, doing homework all the time, ain't that right, Micah?"
Micah nodded. "Yes, Mr. Lei."
Lei held his hand out. "See? My point!"
"He is a very fragile child. He was born prematurely."
Lei nods. "He's strong, now. But trust me, Helena. It will be good for us. The four of us. I know it's not easy raising a child on your own..."
"He also doesn't have a father... since his dad passed away when he was young... he needs a father figure."
Lei shook his head. "Not really. I was raised by my brother. I turned out fine. My brother was raised by his parents. He turned out horrible. Besides, I think Micah will turn out just fine without a father."
Helena sighed. "If you say so..."
"Well, then, I suppose we can have some fun, eh?"
Helena then checked her phone and read the message from "K"
She was last spotted in the Tokyo shopping district, begging for money, but I lost her. She may have managed to evade capture...
Helena decided not to answer the phone. "Alright, Lei, what do you suggest we do?"
"Let's go see a movie."
Micah was really stoked. He was finally going to get out and do things. He always liked it when Lei came over. He always took him out to do things. Kind of reminded him of some fun uncle.
"What movie?" Micah asks Lei.
"The Junkman 2020! It's about Harlan Hollis' grandson being attacked by assassins! There's going to be lots of explosions. It's an action thriller chase!"
"Oooh! That sounds fun!"
"It is."
"Mommy, can I go? Please?"
"Yes, Micah, you can go with us."
"Yay!"
"It's a date, then." Lei winked. He stands up and waits for Helena to stand up before kissing her ring finger, and bowing. "After you, mademoiselle..."
Helena was then lead out of the door, but she really felt at unease, as her son stepped foot outside. Lei was carrying his little girl, and later had her strapped in her seat. Helena couldn't help but think. Lei was a really nice guy. He was a bit of a decent character. He's kind, compassionate, but he can be stern when he needs to. She has heard stories that Lei was a bit of a "Casanova", but he really didn't flirt with her too much. Perhaps fatherhood slowed him down. Or maybe those were just legends. Once Helena got in the car, she couldn't help but sigh. Somehow, for some odd reason, this all seemed to be a bad idea to her.
"After we see The Junkman 2020, we can watch the 1982 version. With the late H.B. Halicky! The Crash King!"
"OOOH!"
To make matters worse, it would appear that Micah was already getting to attached to Lei. This can't be good for her mission.
