BIOGRAPHY:
Early Life
Born in Osaka as the second and youngest child, Takeru had an elder brother named Takeshi. However Takeru's mother died after gave birth to him, his father became a more somber and distant widower. With their father busy in his job as a successful medical director of a private hospital, Takeru was taken care by Takeshi even though the eldest son was the most favorable in their father's views. Takeru's childhood was not a pleasant memory, he was locked away from the outside world and his father would hired private tutors to provided him best education. As he reached to his teenage years, Takeru was sent to a high school to further his studies. Among the students in the school, Takeru considered to be one of the most gifted students but due to the way of being brought up in family life, Takeru became anti-social and he was isolated from other students, he often became a subject of bullying by other students, even calling him other names. What worse was Takeru's father forced him to study hard in order to make him a successful person in the future but Takeshi disagreed with the method and considered their father was to extreme with him. After Takeshi left to work as a young medical doctor in Tokyo, Takeru's life was getting more and more difficult because his father became extremely strict and controlled him even prevent him to join any activities in school. Without his brother's protection, Takeru conceded and he followed his father's rule.

Inspiration of Bravery
When Takeru was on his way to school, he was harassed by the same bullies at school however a female student from his school jumped into the fray and sent the bullies fled with tails between their legs. The female student was one of Takeru's classmate and a famous person around Osaka; Kazama Asuka. Asuka berated Takeru for being not stood his ground against the bullies and implied that he should lived up his name Takeru which also meant "warrior". Realized the meaning of his name, Takeru began to look up at Asuka as his role model and an inspiration of bravery. Thanks to his classmate's guidance, Takeru began to open up and he made a few friends in his class. He also been taught few karate moves by Asuka as well just to defend himself if needed to. Few years later, Takeru's brother Takeshi came back to Osaka with his wife along with their newborn daughter thus began to worked in their father's private hospital. During the final year at school, Takeru's best friend and first crush Sakura was killed in a car accident at Osaka. Distraught and devastated, Takeru shut himself at home and refused to go back to school for days. In the midst of deep thought, Takeru remembered Sakura's wish to becoming a police officer upon graduation. Determined to fullfill Sakura's dreams, Takeru went back to the school and graduated with one determination; to become a police officer. After the graduation, Takeru had a huge argument with his father about his decision to join the police academy in Tokyo. The argument went so far that his father accused him as the cause of his mother's death which struck Takeru deeply, he left with two choices; either study as a medical intern or be disowned if he join the police academy. Enough of his father's tyranny, Takeru packed his belongings and left home. With the help from his brother and sister-in-law, Takeru enrolled and attended Metropolitan Police Academy at Tokyo.

Takeru was profiled as outstanding and efficient police officer who always get the job done but as well as "aggressive, slightly undisciplined and relentless". However there were no reports of him about hurting civilians or abusing his authority as a police officer, most of the people in Tokyo favored him for his kindness and sincerity while the local gangs and delinquents were feared him even though he was just a uniformed police oficer, they gave him a nickname, "The Inugami". There was an incident happened at Shinjuku District, a hostage who was hold by a murderous fugitive and Takeru was the only police officer who arrived at the scene. With his only service revolver, Takeru took down the fugitve and saved the hostage. Takeru's fame was attracted the attention of a special police unit commander and he approached him an offer to join into his unit, the Special Assault Team.
