These are the things that worry me with trusting Mr. Wulong. He is very skilled martial artist and detective, but he can be reckless. Brother Doppo, I pray you are making the right decision. Yoshimitsu removed his hand from the door.
"Thank you, Mr. Wulong. My friend would like to meet with you at noon tomorrow at the Tokyo Tower. There will be a small bench with an old man feeding pigeons. Sit on that bench with the old man and my friend will contact you... I am certain you are already aware Mr. Wulong, but what you have stumbled on has already placed a target on your back. I think you underestimate the number of targets you have created." Yoshimitsu stepped back and bowed once more. "Thank you for your hospitality, but I must be on my way."
Yoshimitsu made his way to the window in the room. He turned to look at the desk that had all of Lei's case files. There was a picture of Heihachi paper-clipped to the top of a stack of papers. "Although fate is decided by the heavens, I will pray for your safety."
Yoshimitsu opened the window to leave.

Lei nodded once more, listening very closely to the instructions that were given to him. "Yes, of course. I'm no stranger to making enemies. And I thank you for your hospitality as well. Hopefully, with the new allies and friends that I have made during this investigation, they've got my back." He could only bow in respect.
"Although fate is decided by the heavens, I will pray for your safety."
"As will I. I have my ancestors' blessing. I shall ask my ancestors to watch over your friend as well."
Just after Yoshimitsu disappeared, Lei got back to his research and sat down in his chair, only to realize there is no chair, and he falls over, and hits the ground yelping in pain. He looks to see that his chair is sliced in two. He rubs the back of his head.
How the hell do I explain that I broke my chair?

"Although fate is decided by the heavens, I will pray for your safety."
"As will I. I have my ancestors' blessing. I shall ask my ancestors to watch over your friend as well." Lei said to Yoshimitsu as he was leaving the window.
Yoshimitsu nodded and jumped out the window. His hand spun in fast circles and turned his sword into a propeller to fly away. "HAHAHAHA!" his slow metallic laugh echoed as he floated away.
Yoshimitsu flew several minutes east of where Lei's apartment was located. He headed towards a tall building where he could see two men standing on the roof. One was a younger man in his adolescence. He had a strong build for a young age, but his strong physique couldn't hide the inexperience written all over his innocent face. The other man had much more imposing build. His shoulders were broad and thick making his physique appear powerful. His posture was painfully straight as if he were taught royal etiquette. His long black beard was being held down by his large hands as to not blow in the wind. Yoshimitsu landed on the roof and both of them greeted him with serious faces.
"Brother Yoshimitsu." the bearded man and the young man bowed.
"Brother Doppo, young Jiro." Yoshimitsu bowed along with them. They all got back up and stared for a few seconds before Doppo and Yoshimitsu broke into laughter. They embraced each other with a tight hug before separating again.
"The Heavens truly shine on you brother! The length of your beard is the only thing that gives away your age!"
"And you look even more powerful than when I last saw you brother Yoshi!"
"Jiro! You have doubled in size since I've last seen you. You have grown into a strong young man."
"Thank you Uncle!" Jiro smiled and eagerly bowed.
"Enough of the bowing already son, you are amongst family."
"Yes, brother that is right." Yoshimitsu's tone changed slightly more serious. Doppo noticed the slight change and knew it came from concern.
"Brother I have a feeling I know what's troubling you, but please speak your mind." Doppo said as he combed his fingers through hs beard.
"Brother, I must know how sure you are about this. Coming out of hiding after 40 years and reaching out to someone as reckless as Mr. Wulong. Is this really the best strategy?"
"Hmm... the detective is an important piece to a much larger plan. There are a few more people I will need to complete this plan but it will help a great deal with a chess piece like Lei Wulong on board."
"I see..." Yoshimitsu said as he held his chin in contemplation.
"Lei Wulong is a wild card brother. He often does what he wants when investigating a case and gathers the attention of people by bringing things to light. That can be a great distraction for people like you and I, who move in the shadows away from eye sight."
"Ohhh! Brother your wisdom is inspiring!" Yoshimitsu's excitement drove him into a Kabuki dance and he recited a haiku.
"The brilliant full moon-- distracts the weary soldier. Death is where you're blind."
His haiku was followed by a long and awkward silence while Yoshimitsu stayed in his performed pose
"Haaaaahahaha!" Doppo let out an earthshaking laugh. "Brilliant brother! Brilliant! Your haikus always speak to my heart!" He patted Yoshimitsu on his back causing him to stumble out of his pose.
Jiro stared in confusion as to the anomaly he just witnessed. My family is filled with weirdos. He thought to himself.
"Jiro! Come, look at the city my son." Doppo signaled Jiro to stand next to him as they looked at the Tokyo skyline. "This is the first space on your Go board. Tomorrow... Tomorrow we will finally make our long overdue first move." All three men stared at the bright lights radiating from the city.

Lei arrived back at his apartment after the ordeal at Mario’s Pizza. He was quickly greeted by Li-Mei who ran to hug him as Lei crouched and hugged his daughter. After releasing her from his embrace, Li-Mei assumed a fighting stance.
“Elder Brother Wanrei taught me some moves while you were gone.”
Lei took a step back, clapping his hands together. “Alright, let’s see what you can do.”
Wilson was at the kitchen table, doing homework with his headphones in his ears, as Li-Mei had been watching an animated TV show about magical ponies. So Li-Mei wasn’t home alone.
Lei watched as Li-Mei threw a pair of punches before transitioning into what appears to be, Snake Stance. Lei clapped his hands as he was really proud of his daughter.
Li-Mei then moves her hands as though they were real snakes before lunging forward for a strike. Unfortunately, Lei underestimated the range and speed of the attack and Li-Mei hit her target: Lei's family jewels. He quickly falls over in pain head first, holding his crotch in pain, as his butt was raised up in the air.
“Ba-Ba are you okay?” Li-Mei asks in concern.
“I’m fine… ugh… I am just gonna just be here awhile…” Lei finally said.
“Did I hit you in your private-parts?”
“Yes. When you strike a boy in that region, it causes some real intense pain.”
“Okay! I’ll try not to hit you there again!”
“Well, I tell you what,” Lei said as he stood up. “After I am done with my business in Japan, I will begin teaching you the ways of my Kenpo. Promise me that you won’t use my teachings to hurt others. Only use it to protect yourself.” Lei held out his hand for his daughter to grab, at which she did.
“I promise. I won’t fight the kids on the playground unless they hurt me.” She shakes Lei's hand.
“Good.” Lei smiled. “Well, I’ll be making an important phone call, so if you need anything, go bother Wilson.”
“Okay!”
Lei then made his way back into his bedroom as he picked up his phone and began calling Asuka.

Elise and Lei were both at the apartment as Elise figured that this was where she would wait for Lei, as he happened to be there already. She saw as he had been putting his air vents back into place and sat on the couch as Lei did his work.
“So, what brings you back here in Japan? Did you miss me?” Lei asked, teasingly.
“I had some work to do. I had some research that had to done.”
“I take it you are leaving again tomorrow, correct?”
“Indeed.”
“So far this project of mine is coming to a close. I think I already know why my Father was killed. Now I need to hear it from Heihachi himself.”
“How will you accomplish such an arduous task? He is dead.”
“He's faking it. Heihachi is alive somewhere, sitting in his chair, laughing at his son and grandson and the whole world. But I will confront him, myself. He will tell me everything.”
“What if he does not provide you with the information that you seek.”
Lei stopped what he was doing as he placed both hands on his hips. “Elise. Honey, please... I am the Super Cop. How do you think I got that name?”
“Maybe you arrested a lot of people.”
“Maybe? Elise? Really? Maybe? Wow, I am so insulted right now..." Lei said with his voice laced with sarcasm. "But jokes aside, I am a master interrogator. I know how to get people to tell me what they want. Heihachi will tell me everything.” He smiled.
“But anyway… after you solve this mystery and bring Heihachi to justice, what will happen next?”
“My Father can move on and join my divine ancestors and the Gods and become an immortal. And the Lei family name has been brought with honor and good fortune will come my way.” Lei was finally finished putting all the air vents back together after finding the bug that the Russians planted and destroyed it with a hammer. He climbed down the ladder.
“I see. So good fortune will come your way.”
“Yeah. Speaking of good fortune...” Lei takes a seat on the couch next to Elise, as he leaned back and rested his right arm behind the couch as it was around Elise. “Li-Mei is having her nap. We’re alone… And I am feeling a bit amorous today. I know it has only been a day… but I…” He held her hand. “I missed you… and I like you and… after all of this is done… I will make time out of my busy lifestyle to be with you. Look, I know I stood you up today. And I might do it again in the future, but… I do sincerely want to be with you… and I...”
Elise smiled shhing Lei as she placed her index finger over his lips. “You do not need to explain yourself with so many words. I get it and I understand. Relax and just enjoy this time we have.”
“So, how about you and I sit on this here couch and watch a movie together?”
“Sure.” Elise said, entertaining the idea of watching a movie with Lei.
“And I know just the perfect movie for us to watch together."
"It’s a movie called GATTACA.” Elise and Lei both said at the same time.
“We’re completing each other’s_”
“Thoughts!” The two once said in unison together once more.
“This is awesome! We’re in that stage already and_”
“We barely know each other.” This time, Elise spoke. “But you and I have a lot more in common than you think.”
“Like what?”
“People refer us to our professional names. Like Dr. Kristovich and Det. Lei.”
Lei nodded.
“We also like our jobs and work and often work off the clock. For instance, you coming to Japan to stop Heihachi, even though you will not get paid. I came back to do a little more research, that has nothing to do with finding a cure for HIV.”
Lei nodded. “And you watch movies, too?”
Elise nodded. “I really prefer movies that stimulate my brain. I cannot watch stupid movies.”
“Like Meet the Spartans, Superfast & Superfurious, and The Starving Games?”
“No, those are just funny to watch. Yes, stupid they are, but the stupidity is funny. I am mentioning movies that take themselves seriously but are full of inconsistencies and stupidity like Frozen.”
Lei nodded. “Yeah, that was a dumb movie. Like what was the point? I mean yeah it’s got drama, but the whole entire movie is like really dumb.”
“And the premise is just even dumber!”
“I know, right? The entire situation would have been avoided if they used cellphones!”
“Yes! That is why they took them out in the movie. With no explanation whatsoever!”
“If the movie took place in the 1970’s I would believe it.”
“But clearly takes place in modern times. I mean what are the odds that three young adults forget their cellphones while skiing.”
“And of all people that they choose to cast as Joe, why did they use Iceman from the X-Men movies? Like seriously?”
“And the fact that a pack of wolves ate a human.”
“Critics loved the movie, but I think it was stupid.”
This was something interesting to Lei. There was someone he could finally share his movie-watching passion with. Someone who would rant with him about the stupidity and absurdities of M. Night Shyamalan films. Lei would have never guessed that Elise would be interested in watching movies. He then slides his arm down and wraps it around Elise as he moved his free hand over her waist, leaning in. He was just so happy to be with her.
“Right now, let’s enjoy our time together before Li-Mei wakes up. We won’t be able to get physical over the phone.”
Lei gives Elise quick kiss on the forehead, but there was a knock on the door. Lei immediately lets go of Elise to get up and answer the door to find his brother, Fulong. That man had the worst timing in the world. Elise wanted to spend some “alone” time with Lei to get to know him one-on-one... as well as some nice cuddling, but in goes his brother.
'What’s up?' Lei asked in Mandarin, being friendly as Elise frowned. It seems like every time she and Lei try to get intimate something always happens. Perhaps taking out Heihachi will fix that. Maybe luck is real.
'Little Wulong, I need you.'
'Okay. What do I need to do?'
Elise sat there, looking bored as she crossed her arms.
'I need you to come with me to Shanghai to grab the Kali Yuga before the demon destroys it!'
'I can’t…' Lei said.
'What do you mean?'
'I haven’t solved the mystery just yet. I still need to stay here in Tokyo.' Lei had his arms crossed. 'But I will accompany you, later... after I take care of Heihachi, that is. Can it wait? Or is this really urgent? And I have to drop everything or else the demon will win? Not to mention, I have a meeting to go to, and a few other things on the list as well... I just can't go to Shanghai at the drop of a hat...' Though truth be told, Lei really wasn't in the mood to have nightmarish trips about people in his life who are no longer with him. Besides that, Lei really wanted to spend more time with Elise and finish the investigation. He wasn't sure what he would do with Heihachi with the information he has obtained, but he knew whatever happens, his father will rest peacefully, knowing his son that he picked to carry out his work has done his duty and brought honor and respect to their fallen ancestors. That was all he needed.
Fulong then glanced at Elise and that was when he connected the dots. He didn’t doubt Lei was lying. But he could tell by the way she was sitting and how she looked as though she was waiting, that he interrupted something beautiful. He didn't want his little brother to risk his life while he has a blossoming relationship with his girlfriend of a few days. It was best that he leave him be. Little Wulong can catch up later.
'Actually, you know what… I will handle this on my own…'
'Are you sure?'
'Yes, yes…. Stay here and finish your investigation. Do it for Father...' He placed a hand on Lei's shoulder. He smiled, and winked. 'He's really proud of you, ya' know.'
'Well, I suppose I should get to it, then...'
After Fulong let go of Lei's shoulder, the two bowed to each other. Just as Fulong was about to leave, Lei stopped him. 'Elder Brother Fulong, please be careful out there, okay? If that demon is too much to handle, don't be afraid to run away. We'll take him down, together.'
'Yes. Indeed.'
Fulong then left the apartment.
“What was that about?” Elise asked. She didn't understand Mandarin at all and couldn't guess what they were even talking about.
“My brother needed me to come with him to Shanghai, but I told him no, so then he changed his mind.”
"Should you just go with him to Shanghai? Is it dangerous?"
Lei shook his head. "I think he's fine. He can handle himself. He's my brother after all." He smiled fondly before sitting back down on the couch next to Elise, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, pulling her in for an embrace. “So, where were we again?”
Elise took Lei’s hand and moved it over her hips, while she moved his other hand to her shoulder. “Right around here.”
Lei smiled. “So I didn’t miss much, did I?” he then begins to kiss her quickly.
