Jeiru blinked twice, shuddering to the mention of those two. Then she sighs and looks at Lucoa.
"They completely ruined the party for Leo. Trying to start fights and....." She looked to her left and took a deep breath before continuing.
"Stein slapped me. I've never felt so much pain and disrespect at the same time."

Lucoa’s eye twitched. “He did... he did what..?” She said with a very furious look on her face. “If he touches you again Jeiru.. I will make sure to rip the skin off of his body with my bare hands.” She said with instead of a sadistic nature, rather an aggravated one.
Leo simply gulped in response, knowing full well she was dead serious.

Jeiru's eyes widen a bit.
"Iie iie iie, Lucoa...it's ok it's ok." She sweats a little bit. Knowing Lucoa very well, she knows Stein is as good as dead.

“I don’t think it’s ok one bit. He just better hope he doesn’t decide to show his face here again. In any case, Leo, lets fight.” She abruptly said to him, pointing towards him.
“W-was?! Right now?” He asked, surprised, and somewhat scared.
“Yes, right now. I gotta release this anger somehow, plus, I’ve been meaning to fight you for a while. A shrine is a good sparring place you know.” She said, though her own words she doubted.

Jeiru looks over at Leo with another one of her smiles. "This should be interesting. Go for it."
But then she grabs his arm sleeve and pulls him closer to her, almost an inch apart from her lips. She whispers in his ear "Be careful though. Always watch your movements. She's not exactly a "normal" practitioner." She pats Leo on the back and slips in a quick peck on his cheek, motioning him forward.

Leo looked semi-worried and nodded. He braced himself as he assumed his stance.
Lucoa smiled wide, it having an unsettling tone to it. She put her arms I front of her and crossed them, her palms closed. She slightly bent her knees, and closed her eyes, her expression now becoming that of calm.
Around here, it almost seemed as if the wind itself was visible. Her clothes flowed and as the wind seemed to unnaturally moved around her, as if her body itself were a tornado that was beginning to form. Her hair moved upwards and back due to it, at times exposing her eyepatch that remained under her hair.
Then suddenly, her palms opened her and yet her fingers were still closed. she moved them seemingly slightly, but with such force that she the wind around her was impacted by it, blown away by the force she exerted. Leo then felt it, and slightly staggered. “W-what was that..?” He asked to himself.
Lucoa opened her eyes and her smile returned, though not wide as before. She stood up straight, and moved her body slightly sideways still facing Leo. Her palms were slightly open, her arms bent slightly by her elbows, and only her left leg was forward and straight out, yet he right leg was bent at the knee. This was her own stance.
Leo was still unsure what to do, and simply stared back. “Jeiru, is thi-“ Lucoa immediately started her rush toward with Leo with an speed beyond what he’s seen.
“No talking to anyone besides me pretty boy!” She said as she revved up an elbow strike aimed straight at his chest. He managed to step the attack, but was then caught by a right foot kick as Lucoa spun around straight to his face, sending him to the ground.
Lucoa’s foot didn’t leave his face, and she pressed it harder on him as he was on the ground. “Don’t take your eyes off of any part of my body dumbass!” She said before kicking him by his gut away from her.
*Tch... this is her bajiquan..? I need to adjust before I let myself get opened more than I already have.* Leo thought to himself as he stood up. He breathed and stared directly back at Lucoa. She began to rush again, Leo instead waiting the last moment to see her Palm Strike, going all the way to her right and performing his own, straight to her temple.
She was pushed back, but managed to keep her balance. *That was a lot of power behind that attack... I wonder what else he can surprise me with!* Lucoa thought in her own head with furious excitement, though her giddy nature wasn’t really hidden on her face whatsoever.
Leo then approached, feinting a high attack that went into a low punch towards her shins, though Lucoa reacted by swerving her hips to the side and lifting her left leg up high, her heel coming down and impacting straight on top of Leo’s head. His face hit the solid concrete hard, and he felt his forehead beginning to bleed.
He immediately rolled to his side and away, now understanding what he needed to do, as blood fell down his face. The two came at each other, shoulders and punches clashing, repeated acrobatic dodging through each other’s strikes. Leo managed to land five strong hits to Lucoa’s abdomen, before suddenly Lucoa took an observation that changed her outlook on the fight.
*He’s.... different now. Something about him changed mid fight.. and I honestly can’t tell what. Whatever it is, maybe this is where his prodigal strength comes from....? Hm, perhaps it’s best to wait until I expose myself, and allow him to do the same.* She thought to herself with patience and yet quickly.
She raised her hands and placed herself on her knees, a symbol of surrender. “Alrighty, I give up Leo. You win.” She said to him, attempting to sound convincing. He felt suspicious of her, there’s no way someone so respected by Jeiru could be so easily overcome? Though with that, he immediately fell onto his back in exhaustion, all of a sudden rapidly breathing.

Jeiru looks upon the two practitioners, watching very closely during the fight. She squints her eyes closely at Lucoa, who suddenly gave up. *"Weird..."* she thought
After they finished, she walks up to Leo. "You okay there?"

“Ye-yeah..! You... you weren’t kidding about her at all..” He said while he tried to catch his breath, still lying on the ground.
“I can tell they weren’t kidding about your potential.” Lucoa said sitting now in a cross legged position.

"Told you." Jeiru replied, pulling the spelunker up with ease. She then looks over at Lucoa, still confused over the sudden surrender. She decided to talk to Lucoa about it, so she walks over to her. "Lucoa....may I speak with you?"

“Huh? Yeah sure. I’m not getting up though.” She said with a smirk on her face, knowing exactly what Jeiru wanted to talk about.

Jeiru takes her to a secluded area, still close to Leo but at a distance where he cannot hear them.
"What was that? Why did you give up so easily? You never did that when I fought you..."

“Oh? I just uh, didn’t feel like fighting him anymore that’s all. I was just getting a bit tired.” She lied, though purposefully unconvincingly.
She was trying to decide if it was worth at all to tell Jeiru the actual truth of why she did what she did. Fear crept into her mind of the fact Jeiru could easily get annoyed and or mad at this. Leo had seemingly won his first match against her while Jeiru has yet to beat her whatsoever.

Jeiru squinted her eyes, cocking her head to the side. Didn't feel like fighting him? Lucoa is a strong opponent that never gave up on fights. Why would she suddenly give up on fighting Leo? Was he not impressive enough for her? Jeiru continued to go through the many questions that appeared in her mind, then looked at Lucoa.
"Lucoa...are you sure? This is very unusual behavior coming from you.."

“Mmmmmm. Yes and no. You’ll see it for yourself soon if you didn’t already notice it. And no I’m not going to tell you what “it” is.” Lucoa explained more in truth.
“In any case Jeiru, after I all this time I’ve been gone I expect you to be at least on par with me. You are strong and skilled, no one in the academy can deny that. But why is it that you nearly aren’t as capable as me yet?” Lucoa genuinely asked her friend, now standing up to look to her directly in the eyes.

Jeiru stared at her friend for a good long minute, then she looks over her shoulder, facing the ground.
"I......I don't know. Maybe I am just not....strong enough." Jeiru winced a bit, her mind shifting towards what happened that night prior.
"Even when I fought you last night, I still wasn't good enough."
