Matsuo Sato is the son of Japanese Spirit Worker, Aiko Sato, and Italian Exorcist Orazio Ricci. Ever since he was born, Matsuo was raised to be peaceful, opting to working with spirits of a non malignant nature, unlike Claudio and Antonio. He was trained to protect himself and others, and only to do that. When Matsuo was twelve, his father was killed alongside his mentor, Giorgia. Afterwards, Claudio returned, alone, giving Matsuo a staff Giorgia had used for decades. He instructed the young boy to protect this staff, in honor of his father.
So, Aiko took her son, with the staff, and returned to her homeland in Japan. She changed his last name to hers, as the Archers were a secret organization.
As years went on, Matsuo would be trained by his mother to best of her ability. He would work with spirits in the land, often on the outskirts of the suicide forest, helping the lost souls move on. At the age of seventeen, he met and saved a young woman named Sylvia. After she began experiencing off visions, Matsuo decided to help her. Just as his mother did for him.
It wouldn't be long before the two fell into a romance, and married.
Years later, while the small family was posing as farmworkers, a young boy came across their farm. Matsuo knew this was fate, when he wife and mother both confirmed the light and dark energy around him. Matsuo would bide his time, awaiting the boy's family. Something in him told him he was a descendant of Giorgia.
