This is a gym where all the fighters come to t train and hone their skills, as well as spar against other fighters. With the new King of Iron Fist Tournament announced, there have been a spike in people coming here to practice and train.
Steve found himself at the same gym that he trained at four months prior. Lately he has been looking into more information on his biological father. He's heard that he is a dangerous man, and curious he wants to meet the man. He knows it won't be much happening, but it was the least he could do. His adopted parents at first didn't like that Steve was going out and nosing himself into Zaibatsu business, but he needed to know about his father.
He attended both his grandmother and Antonio's funerals. He hated how Johanna died, and vowed that if he ever found the person responsible, he'd take care of them. Hopefully Zakk catches that bitch and lets Steve handle her. He also thought about how Antonio died and Daniel getting possessed by a demon. He wanted to join in and help fight, but ultimately decided that he should let the professionals handle it. Still, perhaps together he and Katya could help free Daniel. Maybe?
Steve's done so much looking and digging into finding out about his father. However, he couldn't find much information, but his only lead was the only living scientist that created him: Dr. Kristovitch. She shouldn't be hard to get a hold of. Steve hoped to possibly get information from that woman during the tournament. Or if he's lucky, catch her when she's in Hong-Kong.
He continued boxing on the dummy as his thoughts raced back to the fact that all the scientists except for Dr. Kristovitch are dead. Dr. Kliesen was killed by Kazuya. Dr. Andreas was killed by his wife. And Antoino got killed by the Espelhar. Wouldn't Dr. Bosconovitch and Dr. Abel have a clue as well? Either way, his options are limited, and Dr. Kristovitch was the easiest person to get to.
Hopefully, Steve will know about his father and what kind of man he was. If he was still living, maybe he'd get to meet him.

Hwoarang strolled into the gym stopping just before the entrance to scan the scenery. It had been quite a while since the Korean youth had a chance to train especially after healing up from a rather unfortunate injury. His blood burned with excitement as he began strolling around the gym examining various equipment, until he caught sight of a familiar individual. The Blood Talon squinted his eyes to make sure he was correct in his assessment of the person he spotted throwing punch combinations viciously at a sand bag.
"Hey Steve! What's up! Long time no see!" The fiery Korean called as he began making his way over to the British Boxer.

"Hwoarang! Hey!" He turned around to face his friend.
It was nice to see another friend here. It kept him from thinking too much and prevented his arm from hurting so much. Plus, he had plenty of time to catch up with an old friend and rival.
"I've been training for the tournament after the last one got cancelled. At least that old bastard is finally dead."

Hwoarang smiled at his friend but he could sense that Steve had a lot on his mind. It wouldn't be hard to imagine that Steve had experienced a few things here and there - almost everyone who has ever entered any of the King of Iron Fist Tournaments have.
"Heihachi. Yeah... I'm surprised he's finally gone. I heard about the tournament that's being held in his honor." If Hwoarang was entirely honest with himself the thought of old man Mishima being gone was a crazy one. He wouldn't be surprised if it was all a ruse and the old bastard turned up alive sometime later since it was quite a nasty habit of his.
"Training eh? I'm hoping to get some in myself. I'm a bit rusty." The Blood Talon added shrugging his shoulders lightly. "But seriously how you been?"

"I've been doing just fine. Done a lot of running around and learning new things. Been hanging out with the family a lot, too. It was a nice little reunion, though my grandmother recently passed away. But it's fine now. She lived a long and happy life."
Which was true. Steve was saddened by his grandmother's death, but she lived a long and happy life and that was all that matters.
"I heard about what happened during the fifth tournament several months back. It's nice to see that you're doing okay now."

Running around leanring new things. Yep that was code for going through a bunch of assorted things the Korean thought to himself but was certain his facial expression didn't hide it.
"I'm sorry for your loss. It's never is easy losing someone like that." Hwoarang replied offering his condolences trying his best to act natural and not awkward. He never was good in situations like these mostly because the cards he had been dealt with in his own life. Loss and struggle always made him feel slightly uncomfortable especially if it wasn't his own.
"Yeah that was quite the ordeal wasn't it? Got the living shit kicked outta me. It's alright though I'll settle the score at some point." The Blood Talon laughed trying to relax himself and fall into his normal cocky demeanor.

"Thank you. And you're right... it's never easy..." especially when Steve only knew her for a day. But from what he gathered, she was a sweet old lady and looked forward to meeting her more. "But it gets better every day though." He mustered a smile.
"Yeah that was quite the ordeal wasn't it? Got the living shit kicked outta me. It's alright though I'll settle the score at some point."
"Yeah, considering that Jin is back with the Mishima Zaibatsu and Kazuya's gone missing, you might actually have a chance there, buddy! But I know you'll kick his ass next time!"

Hwoarang's brow raised at the mention of Jin's name - his expression growing dark and serious. To top it all off with a nice cherry Kazuya has dissappeared, that alone is just as uncomfortable as hearing of Old Man Heihachi's death. If the fiery Korean had to choose which Mishima put the fear of god in him - he would say Kazuya every time. Especially after recent events.
"At the Zaibatsu again huh? Maybe so. What's the deal with these Mishimas!" Hwoarang grumbled while tapping the toe of his sneakered foot on the gym floor. Everything seems to always revolve around that family and its antics.

"I know! Hopefully this whole conflict ends soon! Hopefully both the MIshima Zaibatsu and G-Corporation both go out of business. I'm really tired of this. Not to mention, this war is the reason why I'm unemployed. Thankfully, I live with my parents and I still have lots of money, but I really like boxing. It's my passion. It's in my blood. But it gets annoying when you're unemployed because of something the Mishimas started."
He had his arms crossed, sighing to himself.

Hwoarang could definitely relate to Steve's frustration about the Zaibatsu and it's meddling in everything. The war definitely caused more headaches and that was a light spin on every thing that happened to various countries and innocents around the world.
"I had my kicks running around with a resistance movement but I got bored with that. Reminded me too much army life." The Korean youth mused folding his arms across his chest. If the Mishima Zaibatsu had its fingers in so many things, how many of the world's problems were indirectly caused by them? It made The Blood Talon wonder about the things they had working in the shadows that no one knew about.
"Hopefully when all this gets sorted we can all go back what we love doing. What we're all good at or just living peacefully." He continued. It's been one hell of a ride these past few months let alone years since he first entered in the KOIF 3.

"You were in the military, huh? That's right, all Koreans have to serve in the military when they become of age, yes? But it was interesting that you lead a resistance group. I probably should have joined one myself, but I don't make for a good soldiers." Steve said, laughing a little to himself realizing the irony of his statement.
"Hopefully when all this gets sorted we can all go back what we love doing. What we're all good at or just living peacefully."
"Yes, Amen to that! Cheers to doing whatever we wanted! I can go back to boxing and retire as a champion! I'm really looking forward to it."

Hwoarang chuckled quietly, truth was he was quite surprised that he lead a resistance group himself and Baek approved. The only time his adoptive father agreed with his shenanigans. A bittersweet smile graced the fiery Korean's visage as he thought about his master and the moment he gave him his blessing to run amuck.
"Yeah, two years of mandatory service. You can put it off but with everything there's a limit. Most just decided to go in and get it over with," Hwoarang really disliked his time in the army. It was too routine and regimented making the Blood Talon feel like a dull boy. He laughed once more before placing his hands on his hips. "Going AWOL wasn't smart either so there's that!"
"Yes, Amen to that! Cheers to doing whatever we wanted! I can go back to boxing and retire as a champion! I'm really looking forward to it."
The fiery Korean couldn't agree more with the Brit. All this war and all the cookie jars the Zaibatsu had its greasy fingers in; it will be a relief for the entire would when all of it came to a end, everyone could rebuild and resume living their normal lives.
"No kidding. Looking forward to seeing you get that championship!"

"Yeah. I can only imagine how much that would suck. Being drafted to serve in the military for at least to years... yeah. I'd go AWOL, too. I don't blame you one bit."
"No kidding. Looking forward to seeing you get that championship!"
"Haha. Maybe when the Mishima mess is behind us, I can get you free tickets to my fights."

"Haha. Maybe when the Mishima mess is behind us, I can get you free tickets to my fights."
Hwoarang laughed bowing slightly in thanks for the offer but couldn't shake the feeling something was seriously up with his friend. The Blood Talon stood quiet for moment before closing the space between him and the Brit. He put a firm hand on his shoulder and looked the blonde in the eye.
"I imagine the stuff you've been through might have a slight connection to the Mishimas?" The fiery Korean probbed hoping the answer would be a resounding no. The feeling in his gut told him otherwise since the Zaibatsu seems to be a factor in everything that's happened to the majority of KOIF participants. "If you don't want to answer it's cool. I'll just assume they have a very minimal part in whatever is going with you and leave it at that."
He patted the Brit's back in friendly manner before stepping back slightly and peering around the gym making sure no one was eavesdropping on their reunion.

"Actually, I'm kind of investigating some super shady stuff that they're doing." Steve whispered to Hwoarang. He trusts him, but wasn't ready to tell him about what he really found out. "Something about the Devil Gene... I read up on it during the fourth tournament before Lei saved me from getting killed."
