Lars woke up at five am to go to the Mishima Zaibatsu gym and train. He didn’t really know if he would begin the mission today but he still wanted to have time to train, and to eat, though this could be done during the discussions or later. But the training was essential.
Lars was glad he already met Connor yesterday since he would already know one of the members of that team. And an important one, an either very dangerous or helpful ally. Lars thought that he got along well with Connor since that man seemed frank and that was one of the qualities Lars favoured. To get to the point and not go on in useless or even sometimes troublesome conversation making people lose precious time. He had the feeling Connor told him the truth, that he hated Jin (which was understandable for many people) but that he would not attack him now. The only thing Lars wondered was what was the other thing Connor said, that second goal... but him mentioning Kazuya later may mean he also had something against Kazuya, who probably was that second goal... And this, apart from the danger if Connor transformed, could be done as soon as possible, Lars would let him get rid of Kazuya if it was possible. He didn't really know that half-brother and wasn't risking suddenly taking a liking to him like he may for Jin. Lars wanted to keep neutral and do what had to be done to save the world even if sometime he did pity Jin, even if he didn't want to. But he had no affective ties with Kazuya. Kazuya wasn't even trying to save the world or undo what he was doing, like Jin was... Though it was Jin who started it all in the first place... Now Kazuya continued with it since he was indeed preparing since years for that but Jin started it, he started it to somehow save the world but still, he destroyed the world to save the world... Lars still had some problems with that... Maybe indeed he was the only one who could kill Azazel... Lars knew he had tried and failed, so maybe Jin was right... Jin was the chosen one...
But thinking again about that mission, Lars thought he probably would know some other people but Lee took care of the phone calls, so Lars wasn’t certain of who would be there. He thought maybe Julia would be there or maybe her boyfriend, Lei Wulong’s son. Lars knew Lee wanted to ask them for info but didn’t really know if they would be there but he mostly imagined they would be. If there was really supposed to be only two persons, it probably was between one of them.
Lars thought that Raven, an expert at infiltration, would have been perfect for this job of course… It had been a long time, in fact since the tournament, that he had no news of his friend and his wife. Lee probably didn’t call him since he didn’t really know them much and Raven worked for the government, not the Zaibatsu or as a mercenary, his missions were given by the UN, not by any corporation… Beside Raven seemed to have small children to take care of, so maybe doing overtime, if he could be called during his freetime, wasn’t really what he should do now…
But Lars thought that maybe he should call Raven just to know how he was doing… Maybe later when he got some time… Though he did wonder where was Raven actually, he wouldn’t call him at four in the morning just to get some news or in a middle of a mission… Maybe text him… Lars would rather talk to the phone, it was more lively, but texting was a better alternative in many circumstances…
