Alright, so for those of you people who are not familiar with Leice, let me give you a rundown. Simply put, Leice is a big pairing in the old Tekken RP's. Like most pairings, it's a combination of the two's names. In this case, it is Alece and Lei. It started in the first Tekken RP, which was nearly 7 years ago. Originally, it was just going to be Lei and his estranged daughter together. Well, not as a couple of course, but as a family. I was writing a fanfic at the time, and the RP Alece and the fanfic Alece were both totatlly different and I wasn't going to have the two get together like they did in the fanfic. In fact, I was going to kill off Alece right after she sacrifices herself as a way to "atone" for her past sins. On top of that, she was a genetically engineered human, so I had to kill her off quick. Lol. In fact, her DNA structure is mostly non-human, though she appears as a normal human. However, I decided to put the two together as I felt like they kind of fit. In my headcanon, Lei has somewhat of a "messiah-complex", and he has the need to save Alece. Alece has a whole, "I don't need to exist" thing going on, while Lei is like, "Your existence is valid because I love you!" It's kinda cute.
In the next RP, the one before this one, I originally wasn't going to bring their relationship back, but due to popular demand, I did. Originally, Zakk was on a quest to find his mother and save her from the MZ and such. And she doesn't die. She goes back home with her son. But then I pitched the idea to Trista. She thought it would be interesting, but she didn't really seem interested as she finally said that she was going to kill off Lei. So I went with the original plan. Until I claimed Lei, and people were like BRING THEM BACK! And so I did.
Yeah, this time, their relationship made a little more sense. The two were formerly on-and-off lovers in their youth who managed have a child. Lei gets separated because of bullshit reasons and etc. Lei knows she's a monster and doesn't care. On top of that, the two are still hot for each other. So it kinda made sense.
Now when the RP closed, the two were in a rough patch. Lei's slowly going insane, Alece is slowly going sane... The whole Tekken 8 arc was supposed to be about how Alece tries to support Lei the best she could. But I can tell you guys what happens, since I never got a chance to write it out. Basically, Lei gets PTSD from what had happened with his fight with Ogre and gets survivor's guilt. On top of it, Lei's "resurrection" made things even worse for him. It eventually fell into depression, where eventually, Lei gets put on emotional leave and tries to kill himself. After several bouts Lei finally sees the light, gets professional help and gets better. The two become stronger as a couple because of it.
I'm seriously considering this. Bring back the relationship. But I'd like to see if you guys would like to see this happen again.
