Antonio was born in the small town of Malcesini, Italy. His Irish father was a doctor. His Italian mother was a part of a group of exorcists called The Archers of Sirius. Inheriting her ability, he was trained alongside the young and talented Claudio Serafino. Antonio knew that he was doing work for the greater good, and found happiness in his fellow archers and their work. However, when Antonio was fifteen, his mother was killed during a dangerous exorcism in South America. Antonio wanted to stay with his spiritual brothers and sisters, however is father refused to allow him to train. He took Antonio to his home country of Ireland. Antonio tried to adjust, but he felt so out of place... After graduating high school, He took an interest in his father's work, and studied human biology.
It was when he was 18 that he met the young assassin and mercenary named Anna Williams. She came from a dangerous family and a dangerous world, and this excited Antonio.With her, he took on street fighting and local tournaments, learning kickboxing a long the way. He missed the adrenaline of training his ability, and dealing with the excitement. Being with her gave Antonio a fire in his heart. She fell pregnant, and Antonio was elated. Antonio's world came crashing around him when she told him she would not keep the baby. Anna feared that the child would be pulled into her dangerous life, the part that Antonio himself probably loved most about her. However, he empathized her fear, and agreed.
He planned to take the child back to the Archers, however when Antonio laid on his his baby boy, he finally understood why his father took him away. What was once exciting was now terrifying. Putting this young life in any danger terrified him. He decided to stay in Ireland, as Anna was leaving to go on a job after giving birth. Her only request was that he name their son after her younger brother, Christopher, so that he could have a little piece of his family with him. Antonio agreed, and named his son James Sorin. James, from Christopher's middle name, and Sorin after a Romanian scientist he admired.
The beginning years were hard, but with help from his father, Antonio pulled through. After years of studies, he landed an apprenticeship with the Mishima Zaibatsu. They were doing biological experiments, and Antonio was excited to begin his new life. When he arrived, he was placed with Dr. Bosconovitch. It was there that he was placed with an experiment done on two sisters that was a cryogenic chamber. He was shocked to discover it was Anna Williams, and her sister Nina, that the experiments were being done on. He was informed that they would be using their DNA to create life, but was not told what for. Almost out of instinct, Antonio volunteered for his DNA to be used with Anna's. He was hopeful for the best, but was not permitted to see his son that was called Project NT02 and he avoided Anna when she woke, opting to work with the amnesiac Nina instead.
Antonio stayed with the Mishima Zaibatsu, in the hopes that he would one day see his youngest child. His co worker, Emma Kliesen, bonded with NT01 and Antonio's son, NT02. She clued Antonio in on the things going on with the children. She and Antonio hatched a plan to get the boys out of this hell. Their plan was a success, but it came with a price. Emma. She was fired, and Antonio kept quiet. Not out of fear of what would happen to him, but what would happen to Sorin. He decided it best to keep quiet, and work on the projects given to him. Over time, Dr. Bosconovitch was getting older. Antonio took on more work for him. His son was getting more curious about who his birth mother was, and Antonio tried to honor Anna's request as best he could. He would only mention how pretty her blue eyes were...
