The Archers of Sirius are a secret society of exorcists based in Italy that fight and destroy the presence of demons since ancient times. Their existence is kept secret from the public. Claudio Serafino is the leader and most powerful Archer of his Generation, and grew up in this organization. He was trained by the leader named Giorgia Rossi O'Donoghue. He was trained alongside her son, and supposed future leader of the archers, Antonio O'Donoghue. He got a long with Antonio, and the two became fast friends. It was through Antonio that he met Salvi De Luca. Unsure of his feelings with Salvi, the young archer dove into what would be considered a passionate relationship with Salvi. Everything was blissful with Claudio's life.
One day, Claudio and Antonio were notified that Giorgia was killed during an exorcism gone wrong in South America. Antonio was still only 15 years old, and his father took him away. Angered by his master's death, Claudio took initiative to go to South America with Salvi. Without Antonio to back them up, they were all they had. Upon arrival to Ipixuna, Brazil, Claudio asked what ever became of her body. They were not sure, but they claimed her body was consumed by the light of Sirius. This confused Claudio, but he persisted in finding this malignant spirit, and doing away with it.
Claudio found the spirit, and noticed it bore a strong resemblance to Giorgia. He couldn't believe his eyes. It revealed itself to be The Espelhar. That it had lived in this country for centuries. Claudio demanded what had become of Giorgia, but the beast would not answer him.
Claudio battled the spirit, but was shocked to see the demon could reverse their abilities back to them, funneling the energy through their body. The battle lasted for days. In the climax of this battle, Claudio and Salvi mustered up as much energy as they could, and blasted the demon with their holy power. The spirit funneled the energy, and sent it to Salvi. Unable to intervene, Claudio watched as his friend and lover took the blow. His body rose into the air, as he screamed in agony with blue light glowing from within him. Claudio himself screamed as A flash of light went through the field, and Claudio was overwhelmed. He became disabled for a moment, as the spirit haunted him. His right arm burned, and he noticed he had severe burns.
Claudio stood, and frantically searched for Salvi, but to no avail. Salvi suffered the same fate as Giorgia. Through a moment of anger and agony, Claudio opened a door to the other side, and forced the spirit out. He had not been able to do such a feat before. In the moment of Exorcism, Claudio noticed that the spirit's image was changing. Before being cast out to the other side, Claudio was looking into the eyes of Salvi.
He returned to Italy, battered and burned. With Antonio gone, and Giorgia dead, the Archers were looking to appoint a new leader. Claudio had exorcised the spirit that killed Giorgia, and as such he was appointed their de facto leader. Ever since, Claudio did research in the light of Sirius, and if someone was able to come back from it. He came across the Lei family. One member had a staff, that they claimed could kill The Espelhar. Year later, Xinglong Lei would be sent to Claudio with the staff, to teach young Xing how to defend and protect the staff from the demon, should it ever return.
Claudio would continue to look into the light of Sirius. He would try to find Salvi, but he was at a loss. He could only see a young man named Sorin O'Donoghue.
Later, Claudio was informed of an attempted collaboration with Mishima Zaibatsu leader, Heihachi Mishima. Claudio repeatedly declined. After many attempts, he decided to look into the Zaibatsu himself...
