Four Months Later...
Jin Kazama found himself in the defendant's seat, on trial for his crimes. Jin noticed the Jury and the Emperor who was on the witness stand who had been telling the tale about how Jin saved all of Japan and slayed the Devil Kazuya, and how he peacefully surrendered to the guards and the police.
"He kept his end of the bargain. Let us put him into custody after he defeated Kazuya..."

Within the crowd sat the UN's brass along with their top agents Tatyana and Raven. After extensive treatment, Raven still had his separated shoulder held in a sling and couldn't remove the cast for another month. However, his prognosis was good as no structural damage was found. It was an important day as tensions were still high outside due to a highly emotional protest demanding justice be served.
Out of the corner of her eye, Tatyana managed to spot Nina in the assembly, a disgusted look on her face. She has the gall to show up here and not stand trial for her own involvement.

"Does the prosecution have any objections?"
"If that's the case, why the sudden change in heart?" The prosecutor asked the Emperor.
"This young man saved my life and that's that!" The emperor said. "For that, I owe him! And he is a hero. He cleaned up his own mess that he made!"
Nina crossed her arms. This entire trial was quite interesting to watch. She wondered how was Jin going to get out of this.
"I simply wanted to end the war that I started." Jin said. "I put the world through Hell to draw him out. Make him show the world his true colors. I admit, it wasn't worth the loss of many innocent souls."
The jury started talking amongst themselves.

Jones leaned in closer to Raven, keeping his voice low. "What do you suppose will happen?"
"There's a good possibility Jin will have his sentence lightened, but no way he avoids jail time. 5 years minimum with life parole. Otherwise, riots from all over will pop up, and they'll be impossible to quell," his agent replied in the same used tone.

Four months. Four long, grueling months and the time for Jin's trial had finally come. Xiao did not want this moment to arise but she knew that the time had come for Jin to pay his dues for his unlawful crimes.
Prior to this moment, Xiao accompanied Jin, helping him prepare for such an exhausting process for which he knew his time to serve was quickly approaching and their time together would eventually get cut short.
For however long would be the jury's decision, as Xiao hoped and prayed that the sentence wouldn't keep Jin too far from the precious bundle that she currently carried inside of her womb.
As Xiao glanced around the court room, her protective hands clutched at her growing belly upon realization that their unborn child may never see their father again.
It pained Xiao, though she knew of the amazing stories she would tell their child of their amazing father, not an ounce of negativity will spew from her mouth as she wanted their child to remember their father as a hero and not of a villain.

It took Hitomi a long time to compose herself after her sister's death. Thankfully her clan never casted her away and was patient with her. After her grieving, Hitomi met the young woman who stood by her nephew's side and now she sat next to her at Jin's trial; she could tell she was anxious.

The judge slammed his gavel as that immediately silenced the courtroom.
"Kazuya had been plotting to do the same thing..." Jin said.
"Is there evidence of such a thing happening?" The prosecutor asked.
"Absolutely, sir!" Jin's lawyer said. "Detective Zachary Lei Wanrei has the evidence!"
The emperor left the stand as Zakk arrived on the witness stand. He opened up his satchel and pulled out some files.
"21 years ago, Pops was investigating Kazuya's connections with the Mafia across the globe. He was supplying them with weapons. He was also producing weapons of his own. Weapons of mass destruction."

After hearing what Zakk had to say about Kazuya and Jin as well as the Mishima blood feud, as well as other witness' testimonies, the judge was finally ready to make his verdict.
"I've listened to everyone's testimonies and taken into consideration that the defendant's actions led the eventual end of the war, and the successful end to Kazuya's evil plans. Therefore, the only sentence I can give him is this: The defendant will now be imprisoned for 25 years with a possibility of parole..."
The judge slams his gavel down.
