Sapporo, Hokkaido. For a woman so accustomed to a bed of twigs and a diet of leaves, returning to an urban environment was indeed daunting. Jun had no idea how stable she was to be treading on grounds far away from all forms of nature. The forests of Hokkaido were her solace, her source of strength. It provided her with protection, subduing the wolfish demon that decided to inhabit her body. It took many gruelling years before Jun deemed it safe enough to return to an ordinary life. Unknown had not taken control of her for quite some time.
She had become so assimilated with the animal inside of her, that walking amongst humans was unusual to her. In spite of her efforts to blend in, Jun felt out of place. A disguised wolf amongst a herd of sheep. Of course, it was only a matter of time before Jun learned to accept the demon inside of her. They were now one entity, no longer fighting for dominance over a host body. The angelic woman traversed through Sapporo's streets, belatedly reacquainting herself with human life.
Occasionally, when she felt her will diminishing, Jun visited the nature reserve, or a park. That day, she visited Sapporo's zoo. Jun couldn't help but reminisce over her days as a wildlife protection officer in her youth, fawning over animals as she had done twenty years ago. Back when fate lured her to a place which would permanently change her life.
Where was the man that impregnated her all those years ago? Where was the son she raised with all the love a mother could? They had disappeared off the radar like she had done, but Jun was determined to find them both, having learnt to find peace even with a leeching devil of her own.
But for now, Jun was content with petting red pandas, awaiting for the day Jin and Kazuya emerged out of hiding themselves-- as they always did when vengeance consumed them.
