Johanna Williams, born Johanna Siobhan Martin, was an Aikido champion in her prime. When she was 18 years old, she met a man named Richard Williams through the tournament circuit in Ireland. The two fighters quickly found friendship and companionship with each other. Unknown to Johanna for the first year of their relationship, Richard was an assassin. When he revealed his true occupation to Johanna, she resisted. However, the money and the luxurious lifestyle convinced her to come around to the idea, especially when she was offered work of her own. At age 20, the two married and took on assassination contracts together. They traveled the world building their lives and their future.
After 3 years of wedded bliss and blood diamonds, Johanna gave birth to the couple's first daughter. They named her Nina. Two years later saw the birth of their younger daughter, Anna. And another 2 years later saw the birth of their final child, Christopher James. Richard took to Nina so well, Johanna knew she was following in her father's footsteps. So, to even things out, Johanna spent her time focusing on Anna's abilities. She showered her daughter in gifts, jewels, and dresses. She was proud that Anna was just like her. However, she noticed Anna becoming jealous of the attention Nina got from their father. Johanna tried to convince Anna that Richard loved her, but Anna refused to believe her mother. Nina was no help, picking on Anna as older sister do.
In a last chance attempt to get her daughter some confidence in fighting, Johanna taught Anna Aikido. Ana was a very skilled fighter, and Johanna was proud. However, this seemed to only fuel the fire of Jealousy and anger Anna had over Nina.
When Richard passed away, his death seemed questionable. Johanna asked her daughters if anything seemed strange. Almost immediately her children turned on eachother like vicious animals. They left her, and Johanna grieved her husband's death alone with only Chris to help protect her.
Many years went by, and suddenly, the world started going to hell. The Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation fought viciously, and Johanna was greatly disappointed that her glamorous world was crumbling around her. Through her contacts, she found Anna. Johanna took to first flight to Japan to find refuge with her daughter.
Johanna doesn't view many people as actual people. She would only show the mildest of respect to people in power. She carries herself in a cold demeanor that's decorated with snark and sarcasm. She's a rich and powerful woman, but when the war started, she protected herself from it all by finding and living with Anna. She's only concerned with the preservation of her family name, and herself. She's not above using people as pawns to get her way.
She is also an extremely proud woman. She's confident in her abilities as both a fighter and a killer. She is a woman of great connection and is not afraid to use any means necessary to get rid of an unwanted obstacle.
