After some time flying while singing, Lee stopped the helicopter over some building in Yokohama. Alisa who was following him with Lars, put her friend on the roof as Lee got out of the helicopter while waving happily at them. Lars waved back but had some questions to ask his adoptive brother as well…
“You were quite prepared when you made your facility explode…” said Lars, who then added:
“Was that your plan all along? To draw the enemy over there and blow it up?”
To know that Lee had installed some explosive in his own facility, the one he lent to him and his rebel forces, made Lars wonder about his brother’s allegiance… Was it really some plan to make the enemy explode or was he also prepared to make him and his rebel forces explode should he need to? Yet indeed it gave much damage to the Mishima Zaibatsu… but it also killed some of Lars’ soldiers while also damaging Lee’s own company. Lee really hated the Mishima Zaibatsu to make his own company explode to hurt them… Yet maybe all his facilities were equipped like this to avoid his technology to fall into the wrong hands?
Lee showed the still unconscious Jin inside the helicopter and said:
“We have Jin which I believe means everything worked out beautifully.”
Seeing Lars’ not too enthusiastic expression, Lee added:
“Don’t worry. The Mishima Zaibatsu will pay for the damage-with interest.”
Lee then continued to speak as he gazed at some helicopter that was coming toward them in the distance.
“Now that the Mishima Zaibatsu suffered some important loss, they may leave us alone so we can really bring Jin somewhere safer while they are still licking their wounds. I called one of my own helicopters, so they won’t be able to follow us in case they could with that one.”
“Why didn’t you warn us about the attack?” asked Lars who still was slightly annoyed by the fact that Lee first came unannounced then brought Tekken Forces who took them by surprise. The Swedish man hated to have things hidden from him…
The helicopter was now landing and Lee went to take Jin to bring him in his own helicopter. He told Lars who was following him to help:
“I’m sorry I didn’t warn you but I wanted to lure the Tekken Force toward this facility since I had prepared that surprise for them. I couldn’t warn you since they were after me and probably spying on any conversation we could have. They intercepted your SMS… They knew we had Jin… I knew they would intercept and you knew it as well…”
Indeed, Lars knew that the Mishima Zaibatsu were spying on them… It wasn’t surprising that they intercepted the SMS… and that they easily guessed who was the ‘him’ Lars mentioned…
“But once inside the facility, why didn’t you tell me? Before the attack?”
“I didn’t have time, they attacked faster than I thought. Well, they already were after me but I thought we would have time to finish the little conversation about Jin… I was eager to see him. Don’t you think he looks like his father?”
“Yeah, I guess,” said Lars not too enthusiastically as some Violet system personnel now took Jin inside the helicopter, before he added:
“But they took us by surprise. And you took us by surprise. You know that you also look a lot like your nephew? Somehow blowing everything for some goal?”
“Hahaha! But the goal was good, it's my company and your soldiers were supposed to always be on alert, they knew they were about to be attacked since they held Jin. I’m sad for the casualties that may have happened but they were soldiers and knew what awaited them, unlike the many civilians of the actual war.”
Lars was indeed sad for his soldiers lost in the fight but indeed, they were soldiers, they held Jin… They already were on alert and they knew the risks… Even learning about the attack some minutes in advance wouldn’t have changed much…
“Indeed. But I don’t like to be kept in the dark.”
Lee looked at Lars and wondered if his little brother was sulking. He didn’t want to upset Lars but it was fun to not be the little brother anymore… Yet despite being somehow like twenty years older, Lee knew he probably was still more immature than Lars… But Lars still had his little childish sides… or headstrong or maybe control freak side? While Jin looked like his father, Lars mostly looked like Heihachi… Once Jin was safely installed in the new helicopter, they both entered the helicopter with Alisa.
“Okay. Fine. Next time, I tell you everything already. Now if you want to know, I plan on going in China to safely hide Jin until he gets better. The Mishima helicopter will be taken somewhere else so that the Mishima Zaibatsu don’t get it back and so that we can use it later. I plan no other surprises.”
“Thank you.” said Lars who now really thought Lee was on his side. He did a lot for them… Like repairing Alisa… Suddenly wondering something, Lars took Lee a little further, in the back of the helicopter where Jin was and asked him, whispering:
“So… Alisa is… fully repaired? I mean, she won’t turn back to Jin or the Zaibatsu?”
“I would be surprised if she did. She first had some problems but she is fine now.”
“Good. Because I really need her, and I also need you to help me fight against both the Mishima Zaibatsu and G-Corporation.”
“You know you have both our help, Lars.”
“Thank you.”
Lars gazed at Jin and said:
“As for you, Jin, I’m going to need you for something…”
Seeing how Jin still seemed in a really bad state, Lars added:
“Looks like we’ll have to delay the finale for the time being.”
Lee asked:
“And why do you need Jin, exactly? If I have to tell you everything, you must tell me everything as well.”
“Yes, I will. I’ll tell you on the way.” said Lars as the helicopter was going away from the city.
