In the center of a volcano, there was a single piece of land, untouched and surrounded by lava. The molten lava crackled and popped as it flowed around the landmass. In the center of everything there were two Japanese men dressed up in their Karate gis ready to fight to the death. It was a battle between father and son.
“Quite the location you’ve picked to die.” Kazuya says to Heihachi.
“I thought it was apt.” Heihachi emerges from the smoke from the burning lava.
The two stared at each other as lighting strikes from the sky, both confronting the mutual hatred that the two shared for each other.
“Let’s settle this.”
“It’s time for you to meet your end.”
As aura surrounded the two fighters, they both started attacking each other. The two both had the same opening attack, punching each other in the face simultaneously. As the two were pushed back, Kazuya dashed in while Heihachi was still recovering. As Heihachi stood up, Kazuya sends in a forward kick to Heihachi’s face. Kazuya finishes his attack off with an uppercut. However, Heihachi knew that this was Kazuya’s favorite move and quickly parried the attack and sent in a gut punch to the younger man.
As Kazuya staggered, Heihachi thrusts his palm into his opponent’s chest, knocking Kazuya down.
“You deluded fool!” Heihachi shouts.
As Kazuya arose, hatred burning in his eyes, he charges forward once more, throwing several punches at his father. Heihachi parries most of them but is caught off-guard by a fast side-chop to his throat, stunning the older man. A rock drops between the two, as the pair both send in a roundhouse kick to the rock at the same time, causing it to shatter. After the roundhouse kick, the two both sent in the same powerful fierce punch at the same time. However, Kazuya ducked this time, predicting his father’s movements, as the impact hit Heihachi in the face. Kazuya smirks in satisfaction. The punch was strong enough to send Heihachi flying back, hitting a rocky stalactite. Heihachi recovers, and upon recovery, Kazuya sends in his jumping kick, as Heihachi blocks the attack. The impact was hard enough to send Heihachi back.
The two traded blows once more, this time Kazuya gaining the upper hand as he appeared to have tapped into his hatred and turned into brute force and power. However, just as Kazuya was about to land the final blow, Heihachi catches his fist. In response, Kazuya throws out his other fist, and Heihachi catches that. The old man smiles as he headbutts the younger man with his shiny head. Kazuya was sent back on the opposite side as he hits the rocky wall, grunting in agony.
Heihachi approaches his opponent as Kazuya stood up. A single golden third eye emerged from his forehead as sinister aura surrounded him. He fires a laser beam at Heihachi as the old man dodges the attack. Kazuya smiles, toying with his opponent as Heihachi does not have the power he has.
“Damn you, Kazuya!” Heihachi shouted as his son finally shot him in the face with the laser.
Heihachi falls back, taking the blast, and taking in all the agony of the burning of the laser. As he arose, Kazuya fired another laser, Heihachi avoids it this time, and charges in for an uppercut. He then jumps in the air to send in a double-kick to Kazuya. Once Kazuya emerges, he sends in a super-charged punch at Heihachi, declaring, “I will destroy everything!”
Heihachi arises, dashing and weaving as he then sends in a shin kick to Kazuya, followed by another strong punch that knocks Kazuya back. Kazuya then rushes in to pummel Heihachi, as he blocked everything. However, Heihachi is hit in the gut twice, allowing Kazuya to charge up as lightning surrounded him as he spun around and sent in a Lightning Screw Uppercut to Heihachi, launching him in the air. Heihachi lands gracefully on his feet, sliding back as he taunts Kazuya, “Is that it?”
This was met with a kick to the gut. Heihachi arises, once more as he shouted, “Not yet!”
Kazuya angered that no matter what he did, that old bastard is still alive. “Why don’t you just die? That does it!”
As Kazuya shouted and roared, he quickly transformed into the purple demon. This time, he was much more powerful as scarlet eyes emerged everywhere from his body.
“This was what I was waiting for!” Heihachi let out a yell as his aura intensified so much that his clothing ripped from his body. He gets into his stance prepared and ready to fight his son.
Kazuya flies forward with the intention of grabbing Heihachi. Heihachi quickly hits Kazuya in the jaw with the side of his knuckle, knocking his opponent back.
“I will bury you!” He shouts.
Heihachi sees those as nothing but empty threats. As Kazuya shot his laser, Heihachi dodges it noticing that the laser was now violet instead of yellow as it was fired from the large eye in the center of his chest. Heihachi attempts to punch him, but Kazuya quickly flies in the air, and flies behind him, hitting Heihachi.
Heihachi stands up, and just before he can do anything, he is knocked back by a forcefield.
“Feel the power of the Devil himself! This will be your burial ground!”
Kazuya dashes forward, punching through Heihachi. Heihachi is stunned as it left Kazuya with an opening to uppercut him. Heihachi was sent high into the air as Kazuya flies up to punch him from below, then quickly change direction as he jams his fist down in Heihachi as they hit the ground together, Kazuya’s fist hitting its mark. Kazuya then tosses Heihachi in the air and decides to finish him off.
“It’s over! Now die!”
Kazuya charges his lasers and fires ever last violet light at Heihachi, causing an intense explosion. Kazuya thought he was done, but quickly realized that Heihachi was still alive.
“What?”
Pain coursed through his body. Heihachi struggled to stand as his back was hurting horribly. He is convinced that the last attack shattered his spine, but that didn’t matter. He had to put down the Devil the only way he knows: with his iron fists.
“You can’t be serious!”
“Kazuya!” Heihachi yelled as he managed to muster what was left of his strength to fight through the pain.
“Be quiet you pathetic fool!”
The two fought once more, trading blows once more. Although Heihachi was hurting and weakened and frail, he refused to lose. With his determination and willpower, he was able to survive getting beaten by a devil. Finally Heihachi had an opening.
“Die Kazuya!”
Heihachi stepped on the devil’s foot. He then throws his elbow down, stunning him again. This put him in a stance as he sent in a powerful punch with his other arm. He knocks him back enough to send in an uppercut, followed by another headbutt to his head. Heihachi ignored the pain of his head colliding with the demon’s horns, as Kazuya launched in the air.
“Your delusions of grandeur end here!”
Finally, Heihachi strikes him with a palm strike, knocking his opponent back. Heihachi fell to his knees after the attack. That last strike nearly took everything out of him. However, he couldn’t rest as he saw Kazuya return back to normal, tired, battered, and worn out, too. Heihachi knew that attack wasn’t enough to kill Kazuya.
“Still alive?”
“Damn you Heihachi!”
The two men staggered as they struggled to walk. The two punched each other, unable to dodge in time due to exhaustion. The two struggled and staggered fighting like a pair of drunken men fighting over who gets a bottle of beer. The punches were all equally returned with each blow. Finally, Heihachi headbutts his opponent.
Kazuya staggers back, tired, worn out, and panting. He looks up and no longer does he see his opponent, but he sees the man who killed his mother. The man who threw him off a cliff. The man who killed his grandfather. And the man who threw him into a volcano. Hatred appeared in his eyes as he has flashbacks of every wrong doing Heihachi did and how much he wanted that old bastard to die.
He delivers the final killing blow. Kazuya yells as he charges and sends in a final, fatal punch to Heihachi’s torso. The punch was so intense that it sent a shockwave throughout Heihachi’s body, shattering his spine, as well as stopping his heart. Kazuya looks up, and watches as Heihachi immediately drops dead.
He couldn’t believe it himself. He finally killed the old man after all these years. Kazuya stared at the corpse with sadness. Not because he cared about his father. But because this man truly was a worthy opponent and rival. It was a shame that he had to go. Kazuya felt that it would be best to return the favor. Mustering up all the strength that he had, he picks up Heihachi and cradles him. Slowly walking to the cliff at the ravine of the lava. This is just as he had done 22 years prior during the first King of Iron Fist Tournament. Kazuya then tosses Heihachi into the lava, watching as his opponent descended into the river becoming nothing but ashes in mere seconds.
“A fight is about who’s left standing. Nothing else.” He said to Heihachi. Those were the same words that his own father told him as he was being trained in martial arts.
That was Kazuya’s last farewell to his father and worthy opponent.
