Sorin pulled in the driveway of his grandfather's house. Claudio wasn't sure what was going on... "I thought we were heading back to the Estate..." He said, examining the home. It wasn't on the level of the Williams Estate, but it was a nice home. He crossed his arms, "...What is this..?" He asked. Sorin smiled a little. "Well... This is my grandfather's house." He put the car in park, and cut the engine. "...I haven't even spoken with him since my dad died... It's time..." He said, looking at Claudio. Claudio frowned a little. "We are at Clive O'Donoghue's..." He said, painfully. Sorin was confused. "I-I thought you just knew my grandmother..." He asked. Claudio rarely talked about Giorgia anyway, but did he know Clive as well..?
Claudio took a deep sigh. "...I was the one who told him that Giorgia was dead." He said, frowning. "He did not react... kindly." Claudio looked away from Sorin. "He blamed me, and the Archers of Sirius. He scolded me, like a child. He also told me I'd never lay eyes on Antonio again..." Claudio turned back to Sorin. "I understand you and your grandfather have a decent relationship, but... I don't think he'd care to see me. Not now, anyways... Especially if you tell him we're... Together. He said. Sorin nodded, "I get it, but... Can you be there to support me..?" Sorin paused. "We don't have to tell him about us... Hell, Dad was even on the fence about that..." Claudio was silent, and the silence went on for a few minutes before Claudio finally nodded, "Okay.." He said, and the two got out of the car.
They walked to the front door, and Sorin knocked. They waited a moment, before the door opened, revealing small older man. He was bald, and had very distinguished features. He wore a navy blue sweater, and black slack, with a pair of loafers. "..James.." He said, his voice deep. He gave his grandson a light hug, and Sorin smiled. "Hi, Grandpa." Clive turned to Claudio, and frowned. "...Hello Claudio..." The exorcist stayed still. "Clive.."
"...Well, come on in." Clive said, allowing the two men to enter. Sorin shut the door behind them, and they walked to the living area. Claudio noticed that while the home was nicely decorated, it wasn't very personalized. It looked like something out of a magazine. The only thing that looked like someone lived here was four photos lined up on the fireplace mantle. One of Giorgia and Clive, one of Antonio, One of Sorin, and one of the three men together. "James, it's been three months since I've heard from you, and that was you telling me Antonio had passed away..." He said. Sorin was about to speak, but Clive kept talking. "...You shouldn't be hiding away... Where have you been...?" He asked, sitting in the plush chair by the window. Sorin and Claudio sat on the sofa.
"....Well... I've been staying at the Williams' Estate." Sorin said. Clive scoffed, "So you've finally met your birth mother..." He said. Sorin nodded, "Yes..." Clive looked hurt. It was never Sorin's intention to hurt his grandfather, but... There was so much going on. "I know I should have made time to come see you...." Sorin said. "There's no excuse for that... I'm sorry..." He said.
Clive gave a little smile, looking at his grandson. "It's alright... Are you two making a connection...?" He asked. Sorin nodded, smiling. "Yeah... She's upset, She and Dad were actually getting back together..." Clive raised a brow. "Antonio failed to mention that part..." Sorin frowned. "Grandpa... She's pregnant..." He said. Clive's suprise was evident, "Are you sure it's Antonio's...?" He asked, quite seriously. Sorin nodded, "..Of course the baby is dad's..."
"That girl had a reputation.... Just making sure." Clive said. "Is she keeping this one..?" He asked. Sorin was starting to get mad. "...Look... You don't like her, great. But she's still my mother, and she's trying to make things right! I'm sure you'd want a relationship with your grandson!" He said. Clive remained composed. "...Of course I do. And I don't like her, as you kindly put it, because of what she put you through!" He said. "That whore is nothing but trouble, and she always has been! She'd rather put herself in a freezer box to chase after her sister, than to raise her own child! That's selfish and abhorrent! Why would you put yourself on the line for someone like that!?"
Sorin was silent. "Is it any different than when you ran off to Russia, while my father would starve for days trying to keep it together..?" He said, coldly.
Clive scoffed. "He did what was necessary to make sure you were happy. That's what parents do." Clive sat back. "Anything else..?"
"...Well, while we're on the topic of grandchildren...." Sorin looked at Claudio, who was silent during the whole debacle. "Dad actually has three children with Anna..." Clive leaned forward. "There's another one, that isn't you or this new baby..?"
"When Anna volunteered to be part of the cold sleep experiment, Well... Anna's DNA was used in experiments... Dad volunteered his DNA, because of his Archer blood... Daniel is three years younger than me." He said. Clive was even more shocked. He shook his head. "I told him as soon as I found out he was working on that project to leave as soon as possible, but no! He just had to hold on to her..." He said, placing his hand to his chin in thought. "Where is the lad now....?" Clive asked.
"Possessed..." Claudio finally spoke, "By a demon."
"I see...." Clive said. "The same demon that murdered my son..?" He asked Claudio. The Exorcist only nodded. Clive left out an exhale, "I see this situation is more complicated that I thought... Is there a way to save him..?" He asked. Claudio sighed, "We are working on it." Clive stood up. "Then I suggest you move fast..." Sorin stood up, "Look, I'm sorry... Let's just..." Clive put his hand up, "No need James. We are grieving. We will fight. It does not mean we don't love eachother." He said. Sorin smiled a little.
"...Well, I'm going to need time to process all of this..." Clive said. "You two go, come back tomorrow if you're able to." Sorin nodded. Claudio gave a wave, and walked away. Clive leaned in to Sorin, "... Oh James, leave the boyfriend at home next time...." He said, smiling a little. Sorin laughed. "It was always hard slipping things by you..." The two exchanged hugs, and Sorin went on his way.
Clive walked to the den, where his phone rang. He walked over to it, and picked up the phone.
"Why... Hello Mrs. Grant..." He paused. "What can I do for you?"
Claudio took a deep sigh. "...I was the one who told him that Giorgia was dead." He said, frowning. "He did not react... kindly." Claudio looked away from Sorin.
