After explaining to Jin how the control panel he had for his robot worked for each different moves, he explained the rules.
"So your robot wins if he either succeed in taking away five parts of his adversary, the scarf doesn't count, I mean robot parts, if he pushes his adversary on the ground ten times or if he pushes him out of the ring."
Lee then thought of something:
"Hey, maybe we could even try to team up against Combot! Though I think we would lose since we are not that trained in using a controlled robot but it could be fun. I may downgrade Combot a bit for this maybe... Maybe we could try later. First, try moving your robot around. To get used to it while I go for a juice."
Lee went to take a juice from the vending machine and came back to see Jin practicing.

Jin controlled the robot and nods as Lee explains the rules. He tries his best to move the robot around getting used to controls.
"I imagine Combot would probably be good at this game, anyway."

“Excellent, Jin! You’re good!”
Lee thought that Jin seemed very focused and learned quickly. He was proud of him.
"I imagine Combot would probably be good at this game, anyway."
“Everything Combot does is according to the best algorithm possible, and of course the robot world is his world, so yes, he would be good.” said Lee as he drank his juice while looking at Jin controlling his robot. After he finished his juice, he asked: “So do you like it? Are you ready to do a fight against my robot?”

"Makes perfect sense."
As strange as that clunky robot is, Combot sometimes appears to be sentient at times. As does Alisa and the early Jack series.
"We'll see what I can do."

“Excellent! So you fight my robot, then the winner will confront Combot in the final match. Is that okay?”

"Yeah. That's okay. I like a challenge, anyway."
Jin got himself ready to take on Lee's robot. Combot will be next.

Jin said he liked a challenge…as he also said a robot fight would be fun… Lee was quite excited that Jin was beginning to express himself. He had known him (for not that long in fact) as the withdrawn boy who mostly kept to himself and now Jin was expressing his feelings… It may not be deep feelings but still…
“Excellent! You like a challenge? You’ll get a challenge!”
Taking his control panel, Lee realized once more how much Jin looked physically like his father. Maybe a bit of Jun as well but Lee didn’t remember enough what Jun looked like in the first place. But now it won’t be Kazuya who will be his rival but Jin, a not too serious rival since they were friendly but still actually a rival in the game, replacing that old rival. But Jin was mostly replacing Kazuya as a member of his family. He really considered Jin as his nephew now or maybe even more.
Lee realized that he had aged since some month… Not long ago he still felt like he was twenty years old but since Helena told him he was old (that was such a shock, but she was frank, other women didn’t dare tell him such a thing but he liked her frankness, mainly for other reasons of course…) and mostly since his adoptive father died, making him and Kazuya the oldest generation now, he had begun to feel differently. Okay, he was not old, that was a far-fetched word but he was maybe wiser? In some things at least? And he was more protective of his nephew.
But he would not be protective of Jin’s robot, he would destroy him, or mostly send him down the arena.
“Prepared yourself. The fight begins when the light turn green.”
Lee placed his robot in one corner of the arena and prepared to launch his robot at Jin's robot.

Jin kept his eyes on the arena as he waited for the game to start. He then looked up at Lee.
"Don't go easy on me."
He waited in anticipation as he waited for the light to turn green. He had a few ideas in mind.

"Don't go easy on me."
“I won’t.” replied Lee showing a competitive smile.
The thought of going easy on Jin had indeed crossed his mind for a second, it was the first time Jin would play but still Jin was not eight years old and Lee knew his nephew would be insulted if he did so. So he would go full force against him.
When the light turned green, Lee quickly sent his robot toward Jin’s robot, trying to grab his head and throw him down.

Jin gave a slight smirk as he watched Lee's robot hurl towards him. Big mistake. Never charge at the enemy as a first attack.
He moved his robot to the side as it dodges the enemy robot and attacks the opposing robot by performing a DDT on Lee's robot.

Lee clenched his teeth as his robot fell down in the arena.
“Drat!”
But that first attack was only testing. That charge was indeed risky, Lee wouldn’t have done it in real life, but some new players didn’t know how to keep their robot perfectly balanced and were quickly brought down by that move. But not Jin, he really learned the controls well, so Lee would have to use some other move. So as his robot got up, he swiftly did a sweep kick to try and unbalance Jin’s robot.

Jin's robot backed away in time and immediately retaliated with a shoulder tackle.

Lee quickly had time to withdraw his robot and started to move around Jin’s robot to try to find a flaw. Lee also quickly glanced at Jin to study his attitude in the fight.
“You’re good, Jin. Have you ever controlled a robot before?"

"Not directly." Jin admitted. He controlled Alisa and Nancy, but he wasn't using touch-pad controls. He was giving out orders.

“Well, you have good reflexes. Probably comes from your martial art training.”
Lee then made his robot launch at Jin’s robot with a combo consisting of a right punch followed by a left punch and hoping Jin would be busy parrying those punches, he swiftly followed with a kick to the robot’s middle.
